Mokube a 42-year-old mother of seven from southwest Cameroon, is a dedicated community activist committed to empowering women and girls. After experiencing gender-based violence and displacement, she became a Women's Protection and Empowerment Advocate. Mokube actively engages with her community, providing a safe space for women to discuss their issues and promoting awareness about gender-based violence. Her efforts have led to increased community participation, with women and girls seeking her guidance and support.

Through her partnership with the International Rescue Committee (IRC), Mokube has received training on gender-based violence and women's rights, enabling her to effectively advocate for her community. The IRC's programs in Cameroon focus on providing clean water, improving sanitation, and distributing essential supplies to displaced families, with a particular emphasis on supporting women and girls.

Mokube's journey from a survivor to an advocate exemplifies resilience and dedication to community empowerment. Her work continues to inspire and uplift those around her, fostering a more supportive environment for women and girls in her village.
